Tutoring Subjects

Commitment / Other Details: I'm currently doing shift work (1 day work, 2 days off) and am available on my off days.
Rates are negotiable, can be lower if classes are conducted at tutor's place at Farrer Park

Rapport Building: For starters, I let the parents decide on the rates, and schedule. Of course, there will be give and take from both parties. Also, in addition to their academics, I pay attention to their well-being. Having said that, as a tutor, achieving the desired grades is still my priority.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I am constantly checking SEAB's webpage to see what's required of the current syllabus. My main materials used to teach include recent exam papers, and textbooks from the student themselves.

As a Good Tutor: On my first lesson, I'll always conduct a diagnostic test to see the areas that need to be worked on. Following which, I emphasize on developing a proper understanding of the subject matter and subsequently, I will push the students to do practice questions to further identify any lapses in understanding. I work beyond the hours by preparing materials outside tuition hours and marking them. I also answer questions via WhatsApp and SMS.
