I will usually discuss with students and parents about what difficulties are the students facing with the subject. I will also observe how strong or weak the students are in the subject and discuss the teaching materials with the parents.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
Check with students on what are the topics being taught in school and checking at their homework/ exam papers. If the student is studying for PSLE/O/A Levels, I will also check the curriculum on website. Practicing with the students keep me updated about current school syllabuses.
As a Good Tutor
Tutor has to be patient, encouraging, motivational and positive. Focus on good teaching. Able to have good rapport with students/parents and committed to help students to improve.
