Commitment / Other Details
I'm able to start tutoring as soon as possible and I'm able to commit to tutoring for the period of my 2 years course in University.
Rapport Building
I would build Rapport with my students and their parents by having getting to know them better through interactions. By pin-pointing the weakness of each student I will be able to work hand in hand with the parents to aid the student in improving as well as build up their confidence in the subject that they are weak at. I've learn to build up rapport with people of similar roles as students through the interaction with my cadets back in the Army as a Specialist Trainer.

By learning the student's habits, likes and things that arouses their interest, I will not only be able to catch their attention during lesson, I'll also be able to build a good rapport with them.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
There is no better ways to keep myself updated with the Curriculum than to devote my time to studying the latest edition of the subjects that I will be teaching.
As a Good Tutor
Firstly, a good tutor have to be able to capture the attention of the students when the lesson might get boring at times, to keep the students engaged in creative ways that will ingrain the lesson into their minds.
Secondly, a good tutor have to be aware that on top of the assignments that they are assigning to the students, they also have homework from school to complete. So the tutor have to maintain a good balance of tuition assignment and homework in order to not overwork the student, which may result in adverse effects especially among the younger students.
Thirdly, a tutor should be aware of a student's strength and weaknesses and use this knowledge to help build the student up by not focusing on the wrong areas.
Lastly, a tutor has to be patient with the student even if the tutor is required to repeat and explain several times because the student might no understand. I believe that patience is one of the most important aspect of being a great tutor, being patient will allow the student to see that they do not need to be afraid of asking any questions and be able to improve throughout the tuition.
