Tuition/Teaching Experience
As i began teaching since i was a student at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in 2013, I have a total of 5 years of teaching experience to date. I teach both math and science at the upper primary, lower secondary and upper secondary levels. Hence, i am largely familiar with the MOE curriculum and i am aware of the changes in educational requirements over the years. My students have all shown improvements in their results and some of them have stayed with me for over 2 years.
When it comes to tutoring, I believe in adopting a friendly but firm approach. Nonetheless, i recognise that each student is different and i will adjust my teaching style accordingly to suit their needs. Before the start of the lesson, my style is to come up with a lesson and i will tell the student what we will be covering and the goals to be achieved by the end of the lesson. I will also set long term goals for my students so that i can keep track of their progress over time. All in all, i believe that every student has to potential to do well and excel as long as they put their heart and mind into whatever they do. Hence, it is my desire to motivate them to improve and achieve their goals.
