I am currently doing a teaching stint in a primary school while awaiting acceptance to NIE. My teaching stint has allowed me to gain invaluable skills and strategies to teach your child better.
I believe building rapport with the child, as well as the parents, is important. Before our first session, I would love to speak with you to better understand your child's learning needs so i can prepare myself for the session and make the best out of every lesson.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
As a Good Tutor
Besides curriculum content, i believe in teaching effective strategies to help the child learn and retain information better. Also, i strongly believe that every child can learn - if a method does not work, there must be another way to teach him/her.
I believe in having short breaks during the tuition session - Let's face it, even as adults, it isn't that easy to concentrate for 1.5-2 hours straight! If you are unsure of how long your child can concentrate for at one go, I will observe your child during our initial sessions and determine the frequency of breaks from there.
I will discuss all these in detail with you if you do decide to engage me as your child's tutor. They'll be in good hands, i promise!
