Rapport Building: I find out about students' interests and career aspirations, and advice on study skills and tips and other help when necessary. I discuss with parents on what their children are facing (sometimes there are things the children dare not tell their parents, or sometimes parents don't understand what the children are struggling with), how to support their children.

As a Good Tutor: I encourage students to work diligently, scaffold them from simple to advanced knowledge, to build confidence based on competence, and to have hope. I collect past year papers, and also take special notice of challenging questions, and students' difficulties and misconceptions. For every topic, before they learn the topic, I already can anticipate what students will struggle with. I guide students on Problem-solving Heuristics and Metacognition (goal setting, planning, self-awareness, self-monitoring).
