Commitment / Other Details
Able to commit to a tuition assignment long-term and start immediately according to students or parents' requests. I am open to accommodate students' available timings given their busy schedules.
Rapport Building
Bonding with students by addressing their weaknesses and building on their strengths, provide positive encouragement to students in times of adversity by sharing personal stories of obstacles faced during learning. This will help to spur students on and motivate them to perform better. This will inculcate a form of mindset that they should not be disheartened by setbacks, instead they will choose to move on and work consistently to achieve their academic goals.
Furthermore, keeping parents updated on their child's progress and roping them in also help to motivate their children to learn better, be it by providing physical or emotional support.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
In order to keep them with students' curriculum, I will browse through their textbooks to identify the new concepts which has been added into the syllabus. I will then
As a Good Tutor
Patience generally works best for students who are slow learners. Trying to keep up with students' learning pace will help students to digest information and concepts better, hence they will not be lost or confused during learning. Only after ensuring that students have developed an in-depth understanding of the fundamental concepts, should tutors move on to advanced concepts or teaching materials.

The capability to care for the well-being of students reflects the compassion of tutors. Instead of bombarding students with excessive information or practice materials, tutors should keep a vigilant eye as to when students are overloaded and stressed out with their school work and curricular activities. Tutors should pace their teaching to match up with the child's physical and mental status, for instance giving students the essential questions for homework will help them to grasp the gist of learning concepts. Furthermore, when students suffer a setback and under performs in their academics, tutors should analyse the situation and lend a listening ear to their problems. Positive encouragement should be rendered to students or sometimes even incentives can be initiated to spur students on and motivate them to perform better.

Being knowledgeable is also a rudimentary quality of a goof tutor. In addition to keeping oneself updated and familiarized with the syllabus, reading widely out from the textbook will enable tutors to assimilate new information which may be relevant to subjects taught in school. Tutors can attract students undivided attention during lessons and spark their interest in the particular subject. Thus, students will be contented to learn something new.
