Commitment / Other Details
My availability is immediate, and my commitment can be long term, till the end of the year to ensure the student is well prepared for end-of-year exams if need be.
Rapport Building
With students, I tend to find out their interests and relate to it. If possible, try to build a lesson around it whenever I can. To make a student learn better, it is important to make them feel comfortable, when they are, the learning process is more efficient. The relationship between a tutor and students should be full or respect as well. In addition, a little humour will help a lot in the rapport building with the students. As for parents, feedback is crucial. Parents need to know the progress of their children, showing the importance placed in their children's education.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
Keeping up to date with any syllabus changes with friends in the education sector. Lots of reading on online teaching articles and new teaching methods to provide a variety of learning activities.
