Tuition/Teaching Experience
I have 2 younger sisters aged 10 and 15. Though I have not formally accumulated any tutoring experience, I have been tutoring both my younger sister since they have began their education.
I am currently an undergraduate in SMU and given the flexibility of my school schedule, I am well able to accommodate to your/your child's schedule.
Rapport Building
Given that I have 2 younger sisters, I am aware of the common traits and characteristics of millennials and it would be easy for me to connect with them as well as to regard them as my younger siblings. Through my tutoring experience with my sisters, I have identified the best ways to encourage them in their studies and that would be though words of affirmation and rewards. Accompanied by my cheerful and patient disposition, I believe I'll be able to help you/your child have enjoyable and knowledgable lessons.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I will be constantly updating myself with the required syllabus by referencing to my sisters' text and conducting my own research to pick the best questions for my tutees.
As a Good Tutor
To be a good tutor, what is most important is to have patience. Every student has a different pace of learning, to better accommodate to the student's needs, one must be patient and understanding. Another aspect of a good tutor would be the ability to build rapport and connections with the students. Studying may not be welcomed by students, hence to make them dread studying a little lesser, what we can offer as tutors would be the engaging methods of deliverance of the materials.
