i'm able to start any time, schedule is currently flexible!
but from june onwards, may only be able to hold lessons late weekday evenings or saturdays, depending on my new academic year's schedule :)
Rapport Building
i think it's important to have a friendly relationship with students, whilst still maintaining a professional front so that the student still understands that while learning can be a really fun process, their progress is still to be taken seriously and is of utmost importance to me! it's important to know the student on a more personal level, to be able to better cater to their learning needs and styles, allowing for more effective progress overall.
i think it's essential for parents to be kept updated on their child's progress, and ways in which they can support their child's learning as well!
Keeping Up with Curriculum
i have 2 younger siblings, in JC as well as upper secondary, and am frequently involved in helping them with their homework so i'm well-versed in the rigour of the ever-changing curriculum!
As a Good Tutor
a good tutor should be patient and open-minded to devising new ways to engage students!
being good at communication is also key.
