Rapport Building
I believe that the key to a good tutor tutee relationship is transparency; transparency between the tutor and the tutee and the parents as well. Divulging the lesson plan to the tutee allowing the tutee to prepare for forthcoming lessons could allow the tutee to be more prepared for the lesson, hence increasing the overall effectiveness of the lessons. To be an effective tutor would also mean that a relaxed yet competent working environment is instrumental. Only when a certain comfort level is achieved, the tutee would be more articulate and vocal when it comes to asking questions and seeking clarification.
