I have experience in working as a relief PE teacher in Victoria Junior College and have gained some experience in teaching and communicating with students.
Rapport Building
I have had some experience in teaching students from Primary school, Secondary school and in JCs. Depending on the child's personality and learning style, I try to be as flexible as possible in teaching so as to build good relationships with my students. I believe in taking initiative for one's own learning and that my job as a tutor will be to support the student by his side in his pursuit in education. Rather than being a strict disciplinarian, I believe that the tutor should be like a friendly senior to the student and be more encouraging than dominant, unless the need arises.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
Analysing past year papers and the ten year series is a must-do for every student and I will also take effort to attempt exam papers from other schools to stay updated.
