Commitment / Other Details
I am able to start latest the week after confirmation as I may need some time to rearrange my schedule to accommodate new students. I would like to commit to a student till his/her major examinations.
Rapport Building
I like to find different ways to teach different kinds of students. Lower secondary students are especially hard to manage as secondary school is often a large step up from their primary school days. I will try to explain concepts with diagrams and real life scenarios (such as using monetary terms for math) to familiarise students with the things taught at school.

I would like to keep parents updated on their student's progress, whether they are working hard and whether they are improving. I will also review the exam papers of the students and let the parents know how they fared in their latest exam/test/quiz. Lastly, I will also keep the parents updated on the psychological well-being of their child as I feel that that is very important when students are in a stressful environment.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I keep up to date with the curriculum by going through 'O' Level and 'A' Level reviews and updates. This keeps me updated with the syllabus at hand and allows me to understand what students will face at their major examinations. I will also review the preliminary papers from different schools and try to understand what is being tested from each school and cater these questions to my student accordingly with respect to their capabilities.
As a Good Tutor
I feel that a good tutor should be flexible with their way of teaching. Seeing that it is a one-on-one session, a tutor can use any means possible to try to get the student to understand their subjects. A good tutor will also keep in contact with the parents and let them know how their child is faring. Afterall, I feel like tuition can sometimes come as a peace of mind to parents.
