I have been teaching English for more than 10 years. Throughout my teaching stints, I have been able to establish a good rapport with my tutees - hence, they are motivated to do their best.
I can commence teaching from January 2018. I prefer to teach 1-1. Additionally, I prefer students to come to my house in Lorong 6 Toa Payoh.
Rapport Building
It is imperative to establish good rapport with students. I do this by encouraging and motivating them from time to time.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I visit my students' schools' websites to check on the current school curriculum, common test dates and examination dates. Furthermore, I have contemporaries who are teachers in the mainstream education and I do get updates from them.
As a Good Tutor
My philosophy of a good tutor is one who endeavours to do his or her best for students; one who is patient, tenacious and dedicated. Most importantly, one has to be passionate and have the students' interest at heart at all times.
