I have been teaching since 2004. Even though I have been assigned to teach in a primary school by MOE, I have been teaching Elementary and Additional Math as a private tutor.
I am able to start immediately and able to commit till student completes year-end exams. I have experience teaching in small groups as well as one-to-one.
Rapport Building
Students get to share how they learn better and I will try to cater to their needs. For example, if they are auditory learners, I will have them remember facts through songs and rhyme.
Parents will be constantly updated on their children's progress.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I am a current MOE teacher. Although I am teaching in a primary school, I keep in touch with those who are posted to secondary schools.
As a Good Tutor
A good tutor is encouraging and explains concepts in a fun and meaningful way. Should a student fail to understand what is being taught, she has to find an alternative way to get the concept across, adjusting to the student's needs.
