I believe in looking at the overall structure of the syllabus, exam papers. Then analyse the student's strength & weaknesses in the subjects. Then work to build-on their strengths and improve on their weaknesses.
To excel in their exams, a student will need to be both good at their topics and also manage their strategy during the exams.
