I will spend a little time during tuition to understand them better and what are their needs and weaknesses. Then I will observe during lessons on their behaviour and character, to better aid them not just in academics but help to inculcate values in them to. This is to help them better themselves not just in studies but as a person too. I hope that the students I teach are the ones that can open up to me, only then I can help them do their best and know their needs.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I will go to bookstores to refer to textbooks and Ensure that the students keep me updated every lesson. For every chapter that they learn, I will also consult Teachers that i know that are teaching in primary school on some things to take note. But most of the times I would be keeping up with the pace according to what the students update me on. Any queries I would compile them and ask my student to check with their form Teachers so that I can accurately follow the pace and aid them in their studies.
As a Good Tutor
Patient and positive attitude. We must stay positive so that we can encourage our students to do better. Sense of security and dependable, only then students will feel safe and have a good learning environment. Most importantly, the mindset of teaching the students well. As tutor, morally I feel that there's a need to Ensure that I teach what I can to the students and make sure they learn. I would not want to teach for the sake of teaching and leave after takin the pay. As a student, I understand the need of external help and because of that, I believe that a tutor should not be someone who thinks that as Long as I teach them already, whether they learn or not is their business. This is morally wrong and I would definitely not do that. As a tutor, I do my best and teach with my heart.
