Commitment / Other Details: At times, a tutee just needs a bit more motivation& self confidence. With my sessions, I am confident that my tutees will have a stronger grasp of the subject & evoke greater interest in learning.

Rapport Building: All my tutees have shown improvement in their grades with my extra sessions with them (min- within 2 months). This is because I believe it is not just doing practices to score better. It is about understanding the rationales and concepts primarily through which the students will also be able to handle new problems that they have not encountered before.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I am well updated with the current MOE syllabus as I am currently teaching 5 other students (ranging from pri 2 to sec 4).

Furthermore, I constantly buy self guide books to ensure that I remember all the content myself and am confident of the content before teaching them.

As a Good Tutor: I have a systematised way of teaching. First, I will go through the content of the topic followed by giving a overall summary of the whole topic (through interactive means such as mind maps)

After the content is all clear, I will then proceed to practice questions with the tutee so that they are able to apply whatever they have learnt thus far.

I do not believe in giving homework as students nowadays are already stressed out with their school curriculums. My only expectation for any subsequent lesson is for them to look through what I have gone through with them in the previous lesson.

Also, I do encourage my tutees to message me whenever they are in doubt. This is not restricted to tuition timings. There have been several accounts where I have helped tutees with their homework over whatsapp msges or calls.
