Commitment / Other Details
I am able to commit to the timeslots
Rapport Building
i usually ask parents what their expectations are for their child and this gives me an idea of what they want out of the tuition process. Before the first lesson I would ask them to prepare where the weakest areas their child faces during exams and then buy assessment books to the first lesson and gauge their proficiency level.
There is usually no problem doubling the child's grade especially if they are weak in the subject
Keeping Up with Curriculum
i usually help children (in church) with their work and the parents keep me updated with the current patterns and syllabus.
I also read through the most updated version of several assessment with practice papers inside books to see what the syllabus requires for the child to do well
As a Good Tutor
I usually build a personal relationship with the tutee so my investment is 100 percent when i take them until they graduate or are at their last lesson.
I also gauge and tailor each lesson to how much they can handle for that lesson. This prevents the tuition from becoming an addition source of stress and reduces the reluctance of them attending each lesson
