Tuition/Teaching Experience
I am an ex-primary school teacher with more than 9 years of teaching experience. I resigned in 2005 to look after my son. In 2006, I started giving tuition part-time.
I have excellent verbal communication skills and I am confident when speaking with parents.I take time to understand and address their concerns. I am bubbly, spontaneous and jovial around children and always manage to build a superb rapport with my students. I record their birthdays and buy them a small gift and I use motivational stamps\stickers when marking. I believe children thrive on encouragement.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I have 2 boys whom I have taught all the way, for every subject. My elder boy is already in Sec 2 but the younger one is in Primary 4. Thus, I am aware of the changes in the curriculum.
As a Good Tutor
A good tutor must be dedicated,patient and punctual. It is important to know what the child's area of weakness is, before deciding which area to spend more time on.
