Commitment / Other Details
I can start immediately, and I'd like to see through the entire school year. If need be, I can arrange for additional classes with the student.
Rapport Building
It's important for students to be comfortable with their teachers, so I'd like to spend the first lesson getting to know the student better. This will help me get an idea of what the student struggles with or enjoys about the subject, which in turn allows me to plan for future lessons. While I'm here to teach, I'm also here to be there for the student!
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I have relatives who are still in primary and secondary school, and they turn to me for help regarding their school papers or tests.
As a Good Tutor
Good tutors are patient, and are willing to put in time and effort even if the results are slow. They have to motivate and encourage the student, and communicate with their students effectively. By being emphatic, they will be able to understand their students better, which helps if they want their students to see them as friends, not enemies. As a tutor, I'd like to help my students fall in love with the language, and not just focus on how they can score in their exams.
