I taught for 1 year. One of my P5 student improved his English skills by a large margin after being tutored by me.
I build rapport with students and their parents by putting myself in their shoes and see from their perspective. Likewise, the parents of students I have taught will see things from my perspective. This has work very well as team work and mutual trust is needed to ensure the student excel in his/her studies.
To build rapport is with students and their parents,I will use my personality,humour and charisma. An example will be sharing with the students my experience with challenges they faced while studying.

I do research from various sources such as MOE and keep in touch with the current syllabus.
As a Good Tutor
I enter tutoring as I really enjoy teaching and my aim is to nurture the future of our nation. My passion for teaching started in school when my peers would ask me for help when they were do not understand about certain chapters or concepts of the subject matter. In secondary school I volunteered in the buddy reading programme where I had assisted a fellow junior in his English Oral Exam. It always gives me great satisfaction when I could make a positive impact on the student. I am a patient tutor with compassion, dedication but also understanding.
