Commitment / Other Details
I teach the following:

Reading from textbook, Essay Practice, Xi Zi, Comprehension, Composition, Oral, Chinese Idioms, Listening Comprehension, Pick & Tell, Article Discussion, Higher Chinese.
Rapport Building
I normally build rapport with my students and their parents by first going with the Curriculum, followed by identifying the problems related with my students' learning difficulty and using various methods catered to their learning abilities and skills. After every lesson I will also brief the parents on the curriculum, what learning difficulties their children are facing; and how me and the parents can help my students improve through encouragement, rewarding them for their efforts and nurturing them.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I keep up with the current curriculum by reviewing the textbook and asking my students what has been taught in class. I also review the exam papers released by MOE and devise strategies for my students on how best to tackle them.
As a Good Tutor
As a good tutor I believe that he or she shouldn't be bound to teach only by the subject in which he or she expertise in but should also guide the students and provide advice on problems that they may face in life.
As students learn from teachers, we as teachers should also learn from students; teaching & learning should always be a two-way relationship. Through interaction & nurturing i believe even underachieving students will show that they can enjoy & have fun in learning.
