Commitment / Other Details
Able to start immediately. There is no specific period of time to my availability. Once an assignment is started, will commit to it until the student feels the need for it.
Rapport Building
Honestly. it does not take much. I am a friendly person and approachable too, people find it easy to get along with me. As far as I identify the needs of the student and make an effort to resolve those, I do not see a reason why we would not get along. It is the end result I like to focus on, I play the objectives, keeping it to the basic where the student keeps on improving and we are getting rid of the troubles he/she were having regarding the subject, at the start of our lessons. So the rapport building for me personally is pretty much achieved by completing the given job.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I keep myself updated through my own course of education and employment. I work as an Auditor as well, and registered under Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) and also Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). These subscriptions help me to stay updated with what is going on related to any thing I study or teach. However, other basic and small curriculum changes, could just be verified with the student and comparing it with the updates with these professional bodies, mentioned earlier.
As a Good Tutor
Number one, exposure. Before a person teaches anything, they should have an exposure to the related subject/matter to a large extent. This leads to having very strong basics, to avoid any hurdles or even competency issues.

The interpersonal skills of a person matter quite a lot in this kind of profession. As your main tool is your communication, acquired knowledge must be projected or delivered in a way that the person on the other end of the table grasps the idea/concept. Hence, your communication skills are under a test, whether it may be how well you can speak a certain language or how well you can explain in it or both.

Thirdly, there must be a chemistry/friendship between the tutor and the student, this could create a space with more frankness, making it easier to hold discussions.

Lastly, all the ethical/professional and moral values/duties of the tutor have to be presented rightfully. A tutor must by duty act in utmost professional way, considering his ethical stance, for example; the language used must be appropriate, being considerate about the student if there is an exceptional case or a special need to be looked after. Being punctual, in order to avoid any effect on the student's schedule or even cancelling lessons, could result in damage to relationship if the student feels, that the tutor does not care much for his/her time.
