Tuition/Teaching Experience
I do not have any official tutoring experience but I have been teaching my neighbor's daughter (primary school) whenever she needs help in her school assignments. Being a student once, I am aware that patience is the key to teach students especially younger students. I prefer to teach primary school students, after all it's the primary school years that will get them to be interested in studying and do well!
We can discuss the preferred tuition timings, and is able to commit for a long period.
Rapport Building
I would update the parents on their children's progress after every lesson.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I would keep myself updated by taking trips to the bookstore for the syllabus guidebooks.
As a Good Tutor
As a good tutor, I feel that it is important to be patient and have to make sure the student actually understand, because there's no point in moving fast and cover everything if the student does not understand anything right from the start. As the saying goes, "You can't build a great building on a weak foundation", It is important to help students build a strong foundation so as for them to achieve greater results.
