Tuition/Teaching Experience
1 year of experience teaching in a tuition centre. Comfortable tutoring in a group or one-to-one setting. In this one year, my teaching style has always been to ensure that the students have grasped the concept of the topic before allowing them to do the topic one their own. I strongly believe that a student should always master the foundation before allowing them to proceed on to the next level.
Able to start first week of March. Available on weekdays, 3pm-9pm and Saturdays 5pm-8pm.
Rapport Building
Being friendly and approachable towards the parents is important as they have placed their child's education in my hands. Communication with parents is key as they are constantly being updated on the child's progress and how we can help the child reach his or her fullest potential.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I keep myself up with the curriculum through the tuition centre that I am currently teaching at. Students are given up-to-date exercises through the latest assessment books. Alternatively, MOE and the internet will easily be able to provide information on the latest curriculum for each level.
As a Good Tutor
A good tutor has patience and the ability to simplify topics so that the child is able to grasp the concept and understand how to answer the questions.
