Tuition/Teaching Experience
The only people I have taught so far are my secondary school friends. When I taught them. They were in the barely passing or fail range for physics, Amath emath. But got o levels they got either an A or B. An improvement from their Sec 3 end year results
I am able to start immediately and have not cut off date. As I'm still schooling in Ngee Ann poly in year 1. I am able to conduct tuitions after school. I prefer to one to one home tuition for students as it allows me to concentrate fully on the student.
Rapport Building
I would always keep the students occupied with learning either by hands on or drawings. As this way students can visualise what the book is actually saying.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I keep myself updated to curriculum as I also teach my younger brother. He is doing new syllabus and that allows me to read up the new syllabus in order to teach him effectively.
As a Good Tutor
As a good tutor I think dedication, passion, patience and compassion needs to be present. This is because students will only ask for tuition as they are either unable to grasp the knowledge by themselves or are unclear. Thus tutors job is the make sure they understand their work.
