Commitment / Other Details
I am looking to start in 2016, on a part time basis. Hence I am looking for a small number of students to start off and if my schedule allows, i am willing to take on more students. I am comfortable teaching primary school students in all subjects except Chinese.
Rapport Building
I speak to the parents as well as the student (separately) to find out a little more about their respective concerns and expectations about the tuition. I like to give feedback to the parent about the child's progress periodically.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I am quite familiar with the primary school curriculum as my kids have/are going through the same levels. For secondary school subjects, I refer to the MOE website for current curriculum.
As a Good Tutor
A tutor should be patient and resourceful and is able to explain in a way that the student is able to understand (taking into account student's learning styles).
