Tutoring Primary and Secondary school Maths since Nov 2014. Total of 9 students up till date. Most grades improved from sub-pass range to A*/A/B range.
I can start ASAP as the assignment is confirmed and will be able to commit for the next 1.5 years until my 2018 graduation.
Rapport Building
I will constantly update parents on their children's progress for every few lessons and get parents to remind my tutees to do the homework I have assigned.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I will refer to their textbooks and worksheets to ensure I am on track. I will also only use assessment books / practice exam papers which are in line with the school's and MOE syllabus.
As a Good Tutor
I feel that tutors should inspire their students to work harder and instead of just getting students to 'memorise' the methods of solving problems, I feel that getting tutees to try it themselves first before I explained to them their mistakes or teaching them new concepts will be much more helpful.
