I taught a Primary 2 kid Maths and English for one year, and it was great! I have a passion for helping little kids help and understand their work properly. I have a strong passion for primary school science, and i enjoyed it when i was a student and i would like to help as many kids possible for science as well. I am flexible and understanding and would work together with the student to help him/her get what she wants. I would not be overly ambitious and set the goals right so that the student is able to cope with it.
I can commit for twice a week for 2 hours per lesson. If the parents prefer 1 and half hour I am fine with it too. I can come for extra lessons if they are having their examination. I am able to start immediately. I would also like if tuitions can be held on Tuesdays/Wednesdays and one of the weekends or maybe just two weekdays,I am fine with it too. I can commit for as long as I could within my ability.
Rapport Building
I would spend time with the parent and find out what they want their child to achieve. And i would also spend and talk with the student to find out what the kid wants, and try to set a goal and reach it. I would keep the parents updated with all of the student's work.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
As a Good Tutor
As a good tutor, I believe that the tutor must be understanding and work in need of the student, with the student's capabilities in mind. A good tutor will make decisions to benefit the student and not the tutor. A good tutor will ensure any uncertainties are cleared by the end of each tuition.
