Tuition/Teaching Experience
I am a current Full-time tutor with 8 years of tutoring experience. I specialize in EMS across all primary levels, especially upper primary levels. Throughout my career in the education industry, i dedicated my very best to every young apple and watch them bloom. I am also an ex-contract MOE teacher and under the current relief teaching scheme. With experience in a government school as well as private tuition centres, i am comfortably equipped to improve most students' grades. I do not only accept students who are academically strong. I have a proven track record to improve students from U-graded to a pass, as well as those in the 'Bs' and 'As' into the 'A*' category.
I am tutoring on a full-time basis and start immediately. I am prepared to fully commit for the entire academic year. I have my own customized worksheets and assessments closely modeled after the latest syllabus, and experience in choosing the right assessment books which are closely related to the MOE syllabus.
Rapport Building
I believing in cultivating my students' interest in the subjects through educational games, short quizzes and fun lessons. With keen interest in that particular subject, the learning journey is no longer a chore for them. I also try to maintain a good teacher-student relationship and close rapport with parents in order to stay updated on my students' progress.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I have my personal customized assessments for Mathematics. These worksheets were created and improved over the years, focusing on problem-solving methods and heuristic questions. Training my students to think out-of-the-box, i also prepare them well for any unexpected heuristic questions in exams. Knowledge on method application and exposure to a wide range of questions type will greatly improve their ability to tackle the exams better. I also train students on time-management and ability to perform to their rightful potential during the stressful examination period.
As a Good Tutor
I believe that god created everyone differently. Every student has their own learning pace and capability. I am extremely flexible and will continue to customize worksheets and assessments according to my student pace. I also believe that enjoying mutual support between tutor and parents will be the most beneficial for the kids. As a tutor, we can then work together with parents to source for the most beneficial ways to tutor the kids and help them grow.
