Keeping Up with Curriculum
I would look at assessments or papers that are available in the market and keep updated about the change in syllabus in the past years.
As a Good Tutor
In my opinion, I believe that a good tutor should have patience in guiding their students. Since we are not able to commit as much time as a full time school teacher, we need to consolidate our teaching materials and allow the student to understand as much as possible within the one or two hours.
Thus, a good tutor should always plan before hand what to teach their students as every student is different. We should find a suitable method and pace to teach each student.
