I have taught in a child care centre as a part-time teacher, tutoring mainly upper primary school students in English, Maths and Science. My teaching method is simple. I believe in giving students practices, to gauge their understanding and helping them consolidate concepts. From there on, I can help clarify their doubts, ensuring they make progress along the way. However, I understand every student has different learning styles and I'll try my best to accommodate the student to ensure he/she is able to benefit from my teaching. I have also been tutoring a P3 student on Mathematics for almost a year.
I am able to start immediately, but might have to miss out on lessons on some weeks due to other commitments such as school camps etc. I can make arrangements for make-up lessons. I am also able to adjust my timing when school starts so that tuition will not be affected.

Keeping Up with Curriculum
I would usually have the student update me on the progress of his/her academics as I understand the curriculum varies for different students from different schools. I also try to keep myself updated on the syllabus by reading the MOE syllabus and referring to assessment books in line with the syllabus.
