Tuition/Teaching Experience
My passion is to impart knowledge to the next generation and to equip them with life skills that help develop them into someone who might one day, do the same; regardless of the occupation they are in.

I have been teaching English classes for the past 2 months and I have also taught guitar lessons in a center in the past.

Commitment / Other Details
Able to start immediately and am able to commit until the end of the school year.

- Weekdays, from 3pm to 6pm

- For individuals, I am willing to go down to the tutee's house
- For groups, the class will be held at my place between 4pm to 6pm
Rapport Building
I enjoy engaging with youths as I am actively involved in a youth group and currently am a group leader. I would take interest to know my students better so that I can use their daily activities and hobbies to synchronize it with their learning and help them understand better through these mediums.

I find no difficulty in communicating with parents, so on a monthly basis I will enlighten them on how their child is progressing thus far and give them tips on how to help their child with the subject.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I would read up on the topics from the textbooks and break them down into simpler terms for tutees to understand better. I would also seek advice from my friends who are teachers in secondary schools so as to have a clearer view on what are the concepts that students find difficult to grasp.
As a Good Tutor
Good tutors need patience as it takes a longer time for a child to take information in, and helping them slowly and clearly would aid them more efficiently and effectively.

They would also need creativity to teach beyond the books so that they do not confine the students within the boundaries that have been set by the textbooks. The need to define whether the student is a visual or theoretic learner would give him ideas that might open up a whole new world of learning for them.
