Commitment / Other Details
I am able to commit to weekdays afternoons and nights, as well as weekend mornings and afternoons
Rapport Building
I am very outgoing and enjoy making new friends. I believe that as a tutor, I should not be using that authority with my students but to make friends and to get to know them personally, and thus it will be easier to get to them, to teach them, as well to understand them better in terms of learning styles.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
As I have just graduated from Junior College, and having taught Math for Primary and Secondary School, I am quite up to date with the new syllabus for Math and English and Chinese. I often visit the bookstores to read up on assessment books to try to keep onto date, and test myself the knowledge.
As a Good Tutor
It is important to not just be a mere tutor to your student, but a mentor, a friend, and a role model so that he or she can look up to you and be motivated and inspired to work hard for himself. As a tutor, I think it is important to be responsible and dedicated to the job, and to follow your student all the way. For example, from sec 1 up to sec 4, as he would be very comfortable with the teaching style.
