Tuition/Teaching Experience
Having taught at an established island-wide tuition centre for almost 2 years, I have gained much experience handling group tuition of 3 to 15 students. I recognise the need to follow the MOE syllabus very closely and believe that every student has the potential to do well as long as they have the right attitude.
There should not be a homogeneous teaching method for all students. Students vary in their capabilities and teachers should adapt accordingly. For students who are weak in their foundation, to tackle the root of the problem is crucial and not jump into higher level questions. Only if students have a strong foundation can they be drilled and ace their examinations.
I am keen to help your child improve and very earnestly, pass with flying colours.
I am open to tuition assignments right now and would be able to commit at least till the end of the 2015 academic year.
Rapport Building
Tuition is not a two-way traffic, there needs to be communication between teacher and student, as well as between teacher and parent. I see the need to regularly update parents on the progress of the student so that parents can be assured of the improvements and be aware of the struggles faced by their child.
