Commitment / Other Details
Currently waiting for NS. Able to commit for at least three months. Available on weekdays afternoon 12pm - 6pm.
Rapport Building
I constantly update parents on the child's progress so as to keep them in the loop on their child's progress. I would also find out the students' interests/likes and dislikes, as well as their preferred learning styles so as to better understand them.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I read up on the secondary school textbooks and workbook. Additionally, I also refer to assessment books to keep myself updated with the curriculum.
As a Good Tutor
As every person is unique, a good tutor would create his or her lesson to suit each individual's learning styles and needs. A good tutor would incorporate practical means and concrete materials to aid the student instead of plainly teaching using texts, making the session more interesting. Punctuality is also a basic quality that a good tutor should possess.
