Rapport Building
Rapport is essential between teacher and student in order for communication to take place. I always aim to understand the learning needs of a child and usually serve as a bridge between child and parent. I seek to understand the child as he or she is.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I always refer to the most current syllabus and curriculum material distributed by MOE in accordance with the learning subject of the child. I have also close contact with many existing teachers. As a matter of fact, my wanting to know and understand more about the curriculum took me to take the masters in education in curriculum and teaching in NTU-NIE.
As a Good Tutor
A good tutor must believe in the child and himself.
He seeks to understand and bridge the gaps in the learning needs of the child.
