Tuition/Teaching Experience
I admit I do not have any prior experience in tutoring part-time before, but I believe there is a first for everything. I normally teach my classmates on Math and Chemistry in class during JC. My teaching methods are flexible and are adjustable to what the student want and need. For example, if I see that his or her concepts are weak, I will go through the topics again. I will also supplement the topics with my own notes, collated from the large amount of knowledge of notes and worksheets my teachers have provided me with. I can also give extra practices or guide him or her along with homework if they prefer to do more work during my lessons. For A level students, I can give you tips and tricks on excelling your A levels by watching out for trends.

Commitment / Other Details
I can start now and can commit for at least a year until March 2016. I am currently serving NS now but I get to book-out almost every day. I prefer to teach on Saturday mornings from 10am - 12pm, however on some Saturdays I will not be free. Thus I will reimburse the lesson on Sunday mornings also from 10am - 12pm. I understand that you might not be free on some weekends, so if need be I can also teach on certain weekdays night from 7pm - 9pm. I prefer to travel to my students' houses to teach as my house is quite small and I have siblings too at home on weekends. However if the student insist of coming to my house, I will not object.
Rapport Building
I will talk to the parents of my students first to understand why they want their child to have tuition. I want to know whether their aims are more result-oriented or more knowledge-oriented for their child.
After understanding, I will ask my students on how I can help them to better their studies. I am sure I can accommodate to most requests from my students. If my students do not know what help he or she needs, I will want to review his or her past works, especially tests, to find out which areas he or she are weak at and how I can help my students.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
As I have just graduated from HCJC a year ago, I am still up to touch with the curriculum. However, I would love to see a list of topics covered for his or her year for a subject as the curriculum always have minor adjustment every year. I also would want to know the order of he topics being taught in school as different schools cover different topics at different times of the year.
As a Good Tutor
I think I can be patient with students if they don't get the concepts fast as I was once a student that had slow learning and memorization. I will also ask certain questions to my students as I solve their queries to make them think on the spot because I believe blindly giving the answers and solutions straight will not help my students much. I will be committed and responsible for my students' learning. I would not leave students in the lurch when they need help. Out of tuition hours i would always be able to help through SMSes or phone calls. I would be committed to reach classes on time so as not to affect their learning.
