I've done tutoring for preschool to JC level students. All subjects for Presch and Pri Sch and English from Sec 1- JC(GP). I've taught Chinese to lower Sec before too.
I prepare my lessons well. I am firm and yet encouraging. I don't like to spoon-feed students. If students were to meet with challenges, I usually ask leading questions to help them to arrive at the final answer themselves. In the aspect, I'm very patient. I feel when students were to get the answers themselves, they would have already internalized the answering techniques and methodologies, and the sense of achievement will spur them onto the next level of competence.
I'm very committed once I start tutoring a student.
Rapport Building
So far, I can build up good rapport with students as I will bring myself to their level when I speak with them so that I'm not perceived as an unapproachable person.
