I have had 1 year of teaching experience in 2011 where i taught 2 sec 2 kids who are currently studying in top JCs. I firmly believe in the concept of working smart rather than working hard and it is also important that they are drilled in the foundations of their subjects. Having said that, it takes two hands to clap. My students also need to show a teachable attitude for learning as well as determination to grasp difficult concepts.

I like to encourage my students to be inquisitive and not to be afraid to ask questions should they be unclear. Besides academically, i enjoy spending time interacting with kids.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
Before taking up a student, i myself must also be well versed in the subject and its changing curriculum. i would read textbooks and get information from teachers in my alma mater as to how the change in curriculum would affect the way students learn the subject.
As a Good Tutor
I believe the most important thing about being a good tutor is having a passion for teaching as well as for kids. The education system in Singapore may be tough, however i believe that with hard work and dedication from two parties, nothing is impossible.
