I have been a teacher for the past 6 years teaching in a primary school.
My specialisation is in Math. I always use manipulatives, games and multimedia to create interest in Math for children. Using concrete items for hands-on learning before proceeding to pictorial teaching helps pupils to grasp a concept better. After that, their understanding will be transferred to abstract form which is what is needed to help them excel in their exams.
I am forming group tuition with a maximum group size of 4 pupils, teaching solely Mathematics. I can start asap and are committed to follow your child all the way till PSLE. I will use interactive tools and engaging activities to make learning Math simple, interesting and memorable.
I am available on weekdays afternoon and entire weekends at 45 Chai Chee Street
Rapport Building
Regular communication with parents is what I always do after every tuition lesson. Topical feedback of the child's progress is given to parents too.
With students, I provide a safe environment for them to learn. Through a reward system, students can work hard towards achieving a goal at the end. Some time will be allocated for a heart-to-heart talk with students so that I can understand their characters better and design methods that work best with the students.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
To keep up with the curriculum, I often sit down to discuss about the changes with ex-colleagues and keep myself updated through the MOE website.
As a Good Tutor
Good tutors do not provide tuition for the sake of money but provide tuition to nurture a child academically as well as into a better person.
