First, I identify my students' weaknesses. Then, I identify the conceptual errors and through thorough revision and explanation, help to clear these misunderstandings. With confidence in even the weakest topics, good grades will easily be within reach. After all, as the adage goes, one can only be as strong as your weakest link. Once this has been done, I will reinforce important concepts and do revision, as well as introduce new materials so my students will have a deeper understanding of topics before they have been taught. This approach has helped some of my students achieve top in their class and gain an interest in the subject.
I firmly believe that learning should be made interesting and done through understanding, rather than rote learning which some tutors may, unfortunately, advocate. With my experience in vouluntary teaching, I have confidence that I can bring the best out of my students.
