I have taught for almost 10 years immediately after getting my Bachelor of Science from NUS. During which I completed my part time Masters in Education (MEd) with NIE in 2011. In the last 10 years (by next Jul 2015), I have taught both Elementary and Additional Mathematics from Sec 1 - 5 besides Biology in the first 2 years of teaching. Currently, I am teaching in ACS Barker Road. My previous teaching appointment is in Anderson Secondary School.
I see myself being able to commit teaching for the entire year and will be able to start almost immediately.
Rapport Building
I believe I am a middleman between parents and students and have been always using this mode of working style between students and parents. This bridges understandings and relationships between both parties so that needs and desires of both can be communicated and understood. This is because I strongly believe that educating a child is a tripartite relationship; Parents and the child need to talk and not assume or jump to conclusions to achieve. As a teacher, I work with both.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
As an existing teacher, I have no issues keeping abreast with the curriculum. It's my responsibility professionally as well.
