I have 21 years of teaching experience - English GCE 'O', 'NA' and 'NT' levels. I am currently teaching in a top independent schools doing IP (Integrated Programme) and very familiar with the demands of the IP.
Every year I only tutor 4-5 students, the number is small to ensure that I can be fully committed to them and often after GCE 'O' exams, they engage me to help them with their GP.
I tutor primarily Upper Sec to JC students. Usually half of the students I teach annually are foreign students e.g. Chinese scholars who need remediation to prepare for GCE 'O' and 'A' levels. Average grade for these scholars have been C5-B3.

Commitment / Other Details
My time is flexible with a preference for weekend mornings.
I prefer to be paid at the end of every lesson, instead of monthly for private tuition.
Rapport Building
Education is a collaborative effort between educators and parents. As stakeholders, parents need to be kept abreast of their children's development. This is something I hold very dearly whether in school or tuition context.
At the same time, I hold dear to the practice of building healthy relationships with my students (and tutees). I believe this will provide greater opportunities for learning.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
Having had more than two decades of classroom teaching has allowed me to try various pedagogies within and out of the classroom.
I have been a private tutor for more than ten years - teaching English and General Paper. I have amassed many resources over the years which have helped many of my tutees, both local and foreign.
As a Good Tutor
Apart from good, tried and tested resources and pedagogies, tutor-tutee relationship can only be productive and effective if there is mutual trust and commitment.
There is not short-cut to success. I believe that commitment to hard work and trust that the work will eventually bear fruit are salient.
