Commitment / Other Details
I am currently serving NS however my vocation is an 8-5 job. I am free after 6pm on weekdays and free on the weekends.
Rapport Building
I am generally an affable person by nature with a good sense of humor. I have a keen appreciation of humor and believes it is a useful social tool. I firmly believe I'll be able to connect with my tutee both as a mentor and a friend.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I constantly read up on the latest textbooks of the subjects I'm teaching to stay updated. Moreover I do not believe in using a single textbook. I would go through a few textbooks and sieve out the best practice questions that would enhance my students' learning and make them do them diligently.
As a Good Tutor
Speaking from personal experience, I have found myself learning best when I am actually interested in the subject or having fun learning. Dry and monotonous learning is not productive in the long run. Hence I am always trying to make my lessons as fun as possible. I utilize interesting teaching methods like funny acronyms to help remember things and like to reward my students for their hardwork. I am also highly adaptable, tailoring my approach and teaching methods according to the student's needs and character.
