I have 4 years experience, mostly teaching upper secondary students. All were weak especially in E and A Maths. Now they are all in top JCs; MJC and VJ.
I am a great tutor because i believe in the students and their capabilities. I also give them independence, but give strict instructions if needed.

I usually talk to them whenever breaks are needed. And also after. I would also SMS parents if I need extra help to ensure the student does his or her work. I encourage them frequently and I am open to them contacting me outside of tuition hours if they have any urgent questions

I look through school papers to keep up with the curriculum and I also ask my students how things are in school.

As a good tutor, I believe in helping students and supporting them in any way I can. I also believe that to be a good tutor, she offers support, not only in dealing with school work, but a professional support of encouragement. I listen to their needs and advice them accordingly.
