I had taught in a local secondary school for the last 10 years. It had certainly been an enriching and fruitful experience for me. I do have great rapport with students and have been awarded the Best Teacher Award for (2005, 2008, 2010) amidst the other years of Nominations.
As I have a young, vibrant and enthusiastic nature, I am able to establish good rapport with students.
I have tutored students (2-4) in the past years on specialised subjects (Nutrition in Food Science (N & O Levels), Food & Consumer Education (Lower sec).
++ I was able to assist an O Level student from E8-B4 for the subject NFS.
I am able to start immediately, however I am only able to commit on these dates and timings:
Fridays: 8-10pm
Saturdays: 2pm-8pm
Each assignment can be between (1hour -2 hours)
Rapport Building
With my vibrant, cheerful, approachable and enthusiastic personality, I am able to click with students fairly well.
I do believe in a REWARD system for good and commendable work - to motivate and boost students' confidence. In addition, if given the permission, I do give fellow parents a fortnightly follow-up call on their child's progress to ensure that parents are kept informed at all times. This is also a good way to highlight any misbehaviours, observations that may need attention.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I do have ex teachers as friends and we do meet up to discuss and meet up with each other to update on the latest syllabus change, etc.
In addition, I do into the MOE website to look out for latest implementations, changes to the education system
As a Good Tutor
