Tuition/Teaching Experience
I previously taught in a childcare centre after Alevels for 3 months.
I'm extremely patient and cheerful, making it easier for the students to relate to me and understand what i'm saying. I will also try different methods to help the students understand topics that they are unclear about and find difficult to understand.
- currently a student in SMU, thus schedule can be a little uncertain
- able to start immediately and commit to student for at least a year
Rapport Building
- I try to treat my students as friends instead of my students so that they'll find it easier and be more comfortable in opening up to me about their learning difficulties.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
- I go to the bookshop regularly to find out what is new in the curriculum.
- I also ask other student tutors around me about what the current curriculum to ensure that what i teach is relevant and correct.
As a Good Tutor
- patience. some students may find it difficult to understand some topics so its the tutor's duty to be patient and explain the topics clearly enough till the student understands
- Friendly. This is so that the student will find it easier to open up and approach the tutor whenever they have any difficulties
