I have tutored family members on adhoc basis. Most recent tutoring was last year, for a cousin who is in polytechnic doing Common Engineering - helped a Fail grader to achieve C grades for his final term.
Primary level - English Higher Maths Mathematics Science

Upper secondary level - A Maths E Maths English

Commitment / Other Details
I am currently a full time Senior Engineer therefore, my tutoring sessions will only commence at 7pm. I am able to tutor on weekdays only.
Rapport Building
I am a sociable and approachable person. Have always been known to adapt well in different circles. I like tutoring on one to one basis, so that i can interact better and convey my teachings more effectively as students tend to get less distracted. I like students to take initiative to practice even after i have taught them learning techniques.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
At work, i take up related engineering courses to refresh myself. My work is very closely related to what i have studied at school.
At times, family members who are still in school will approach me for help, and that is how i get updated of what curriculum is being taught in school.
As a Good Tutor
My technique in tutoring is to establish a rapport with student. From there, will zero in to weak areas and teach from scratch again. Especially in subjects like Mathematics, constant practice is required. Regardless whether the questions have been done before, doing it again and again strengthens understanding and reinforces quick mental ability.
